This Is Philippe Laffont And Thomas Laffont’s Favorite Non-Coatue Hedge Fund Manager [Exclusive]

Many reputable hedge fund managers donate millions to charity every year, and some even work with their own foundations to dole out their donated millions. Philippe Laffont and Thomas Laffont of Coatue Management are among those with their own foundation. Both were listed as officers on the Coatue Foundation in 2021.

According to its 990 for fiscal 2021, which was filed in November 2022, the Coatue Foundation had about $120 million in cash and assets at the end of the year. Although Philippe Laffont isn't listed as a top contributor for the Coatue Foundation in 2021, Thomas Laffont donated $20.3 million worth of noncash assets in the form of stocks.
