Leon Cooperman is an investing veteran known for working over 25 years at Goldman Sachs before starting his company Omega Advisors in 1991. Omega is one of the bigger players in the value investing world, which Cooperman transformed it into a family office in 2018.

He is also known for his philanthropic contributions through the Leon and Toby Cooperman Family Foundation, which he manages with his wife Toby. Their foundation finances grants in the fields of education, healthcare, and overall community support.

From the latest 990 form filed in December 2023, the foundation reported $51.67 million in revenue. Expenses were at $36.12 million, net income at $15.55, and book value net assets reached $415 million....
