James Dinan is known as a founder of York Capital Management, which was in 2019 managing about $19 billion in AUM. Two years later, Dinan announced that the fund will wind down most of its operations.
However, this didn’t reflect on the Dinan Family Foundation, which he founded in 1997. The goals of the foundation are aimed at funding noble causes in education, arts & culture, athletics, and health initiatives.
For 2023 the fund filed a 990 showing that the foundation had $5.42 million in expenses, negative $2.44 million net income, and net assets reaching $56.08 million. Total revenue was $2.97 million.
