A keynote session at this year’s Morningstar Investment Conference, which took place on the 16th and 17th of September, considered income investors’ outlook in an ultra-low interest rate world.

The panelists included Anne Mathias, a senior strategist at Vanguard and a member of the firm’s Senior Investment Committee for active fixed income, and Rick Rieder, one of BlackRock’s global fixed income specialists.

During the first half of the discussion, the panelists talked about the various economic impacts the coronavirus crisis has had on countries worldwide. They also spoke about the different government stimulus plans bought in to cushion the crisis’s economic impact.
