At the 2023 Invest for Kids conference in Chicago, many fund managers presented a wide array of ideas. Tiffany Hsiao of Artisan Partners was one of those who participated, presenting her bull thesis for the Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD.
Warren Buffett has invested in BYD for many years, although Berkshire Hathaway started selling its position a little over a year ago. Nonetheless, Hsiao still sees a bull case in owning BYD, which she said is insulated from the common risk of investing in China now.
