Christian Putz, Founder and CEO of the ARR Investment Partners, presented a long idea focusing on an emerging market financial services company at the 2025 Sohn London Conference. Putz, who also serves as the CIO of ARR Investment Partners, runs a global long/short equity strategy. Putz described ARR’s philosophy as seeking out extremes, either in terms of growth or variation, because those areas often yield the best opportunities regarding risk reward due to inherent inefficiency.
Putz noted his fund is one of the rare, long-short funds with a positive contribution from the short side. Many funds have given up shorting as the bull market has punished many popular short ideas.
