“WealthTrack” Anchor & Executive Producer Consuelo Mack says, “In this clip, Davis explains why Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is the second-largest holding in his flagship New York Venture Fund and represents the new generation of blue chips – and why he believes Amazon.com, inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) deserves to be in that same category.” In the full interview, he also shares advice for individual investors, and reveals a systematic investment approach to avoid buying high and selling low, the classic investor mistakes.”

Chris Davis on Google And Amazon?

Chris Davis says: “We think acquisitions are dangerous, and yet [Google] did a brilliant acquisition of YouTube and, of course, they bought the company that created the operating system, Android, for the vast majority of phones on earth. So they have been incredibly visionary and incredibly thoughtful about how they protect this competitive business. But if you were to say, is that a business that in 10 years from now is almost certain to be more profitable than it is? I would say so, and that’s unusual in technology. That’s one of the big changes in the world is that with the Internet there have been new blue chips created. I’d put Amazon.com, inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) in this category. We own just a little bit of Amazon, but without question Jeff Bezos is one of the great executives of a generation and has built one of the great companies, and I would defy anybody to give me a scenario where Amazon is a smaller company 10 years from now than it is today.”

The full interview will be available after tomorrow’s broadcast premiere at wealthtrack.com.
