At the 2025 Sohn London Conference, Avi Fruchter, Chief Investment Officer of Vintra Capital, pitched a cheap and quality stock – exploiting temporary market stress in high-quality long-term compounders. Fruchter, who spent two decades refining his philosophy – including time as an analyst at Attacus Capital and later as co-portfolio manager at Anamo Capital – founded Vintra three years ago.
His hedge fund looks for companies compounding capital at double-digit rates through concentrated, owner-oriented investments. Fruchter’s pitch centered on an Amsterdam-listed e-commerce logistics company with a market capitalization of approximately €5 billion, arguing that the recent decline in its share price offers an attractive entry point due to lower valuation despite solid fundamentals.
Vintra’s strategy pairs this long-term approach with an opportunistic approach to shorting and hedging, a mechanism “designed to pay off regularly and generate liquidity to add core holdings in times of market stress”.
