Alken’s Private Debt Strategy Leads Hedge Fund Rankings With 50% YTD Returns

2025 is shaping up to be an interesting year for hedge funds with many funds struggling to navigate markets which shift rapidly. Looking at HSBC weekly and some fund investor updates we compile the top and bottom performers yea to date. In the top 10 performers category, there are several changes from the last report, with funds from Syquant Capital, WHG, Carrhae Capital, and RPD Fund Management making the list.

The underperformers category remains almost the same, with Tulip Trend Fund and One River Systematic continuing to struggle. Regarding funds that are not in the top or bottom bracket, special attention was drawn by the Australian-oriented L1 Capital Long Short Fund, which is steadily stacking its performance.
