Carrhae Capital: Rooted in History, Focused on Emerging Markets

Justin Hildick, co-chair of Sohn Monaco, introduced Ali Akay, highlighting his extensive background in the hedge fund community, including tenures at Goldman Sachs, HBK, and SAC, before he founded Carrhae Capital. A unique aspect of Carrhae Capital, as Akay explained, is its name, which draws inspiration from the famous Battle of Carrhae in 53 BC. The firm has $4 billion in AUM with staff located key emerging market locations such as London, Dubai, Brazil, China, India, and the UAE.
