Blue Eagle Struggled in Q1 but expects fundamentals to start mattering

Blue Eagle Capital Partners was down 7.71% net for the first quarter after averaging net market exposure of about 30%. The fund's goal is to "preserve capital and deliver superior risk-adjusted returns across a wide range of investing environments."

Thus, fund management is frustrated by their first-quarter performance. However, they take a long-term investment approach, so they expect their experienced team, disciplined investment process and risk-management controls will set them up to compound capital in the long term. BWCP, the firm that manages the Blue Eagle funds, is a fairly new firm founded in 2019.
