Despite the US-China trade war and cooling global economy, the venture financing environment remained robust in the third quarter of 2019, according to Cooley LLP's Q3 Venture Financing Report.

According to the law firm, both deal volumes and aggregate dollars raised remained at historical highs in the third quarter of 2019.

Rising valuations

Cooley's lawyers and advisors handled 264 disclosable deals, representing more than $7.6 billion of invested capital, during the quarter, where there was a noticeable increase in the median pre-money valuation of Series A fundraisings.
