In April of this year, Martin (Marty) Whitman who was considered to be one of the greatest value investors of all time, sadly passed away. He left behind the asset management firm he founded and managed for many years, Third Avenue as well as a rich catalog of historic content for value investors to read and learn from today.

As a tribute to Mr. Whitman and his legacy, this series is devoted to the life and times of Marty Whitman,  where he started, how he built his empire, his biggest and most important trades, and the legacy he has left behind for value investors.
