Despite all the talk about the death of hedge funds, as the industry suffers from chronic underperformance, high fees and a lack of flexibility in the rapidly changing asset management industry, there is still a high level of interest in the sector and hedge fund demand overall according to Credit Suisse’s annual Global Hedge Fund Investor Sentiment Survey.

The survey, which is conducted twice a year (once in January and then an update is published around the half-year point) polls over 200 respondents representing nearly $66 billion in hedge fund investments and is an interesting barometer of sentiment towards the industry.
