When Deb Gabor received a call from the Fyre Festival to help them find sponsors, she was dubious. The fact that this was April and the festival was occurring in just weeks didn’t help. But what really raised red flags was the music festival's investor pitch book. Gabor, an advisor on investor solicitation and author of the book “Branding is Sex: Get Customers Laid and Sell The Hell Out of Anything,” said the event organizers efforts at scrambling to raise money was doomed before it started.
