More Exits Ahead For Alternative Fund Managers, Says Survey

Alternative fund managers were all the rage a decade ago, but it seems enthusiasm for the alternative investment space or at least some of its categories has dampened with time. Alternative fund managers include hedge funds and private-equity firms.

Alternative fund managers to see exits in future

A large number of participants in eVestment's survey were anticipating exits from the alternative fund management industry. The results showed that 73.7% of the participants said they foresaw exits, compared to only 21% saying that more people will enter the industry. Another 5% foresaw exits specifically in the hedge fund space.
