In September of 2014, Goldman Sachs had predicted the U.S. dollar was going to rise and advised clients to purchase small cap equities with low exposure to currency risk. In part that theme is slightly re-appearing ten months later, based on a recent Goldman research report.
Goldman: Dollar strength likely to compel investments in stocks with international exposure
Price earnings multiples in U.S. markets could be ending what has been exceedingly strong range expansion, appearing near record high levels, as the report, titled “Where to Invest Now,” advises to look towards “US stocks with high domestic sales and avoid firms with high International sales.”
