Its been called the “great debate” by Grant’s, and is an interesting topic for all of the world’s investors. Are index funds really the way forward for investing?

The question, “The cost of investing is the determining factor in the success of investing” was put to Vanguard Group founder John C. “Jack” Bogle (for indexing) and Jim Grant, (against) publisher of the Grant's Interest Rate Observer newsletter of stock-picking at the Grant’s Spring Conference.
