Global HNWI Wealth Set To Reach $64 Trillion By 2016: Capgemini

Led by Asia-Pacific, global high net worth individual (HNWI) financial wealth is set to grow by 6.9% annually through 2016, with APAC possibly overtaking North America in HNWI wealth by 2015, notes a research report from Capgemini.

Capgemini, in association with RBC Wealth Management, have published a report titled: “2014 World Wealth Report (WWR)” after assimilating responses from over 4,500 HNWIs in 23 countries spread across five regions.

APAC likely to be the clear leader

According to the report, the Asia-Pacific region recorded the largest increase in HNWI population and narrowed the gap on North America. APAC’s growth was fueled by Japan’s unprecedented HNWI population surge in 2013 and China’s strong annualized HNWI population growth of 15.8% between 2008 and 2013.
