In 2007, Odey Asset Management bought Newman Ragazzi Partners, bringing in Michele Ragazzi, an investor veteran with over three decades of experience. He won several accolades, including 1998 “Best Hedge Fund Manager” and “Best European Hedge Fund” in 2003.  In 2018, Michele Ragazzi left to found Giano Capital. 

The fund's goal is to achieve long–term capital appreciation through investing primarily in European securities. The fund uses leverage in cases where the situation is promising. They keep a concentrated portfolio utilizing a long/short equity strategy.  The fund combines the use of quantitative and quantitative methods.
