Volatility Strikes this Long/ Short Fund in Q2, but Not Enough to Crack Its Long-Term Record

Through the first half of 2024, TMR Capital's Long/ Short Opportunities fund is up 7% gross and 4.8% net, while its long-only fund has gained 13.5% gross and 9.9% net. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 rose 15.2% for the first half, while the Eureka Long/ Short HF Index rose 6.3%.

However, the funds are outperforming on a long-term basis. The Long/ Short Opportunities fund has gained 110.5% gross and 73.3% net cumulatively since September 2020 with an annualized return of 21.4%.

Over the same time frame, the S&P 500 has returned 65.1% cumulatively and 14% on an annualized basis, while the Eureka Long/ Short HF Index has generated returns of 28.9% and 6.9%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Long-Only fund has returned 192.2% gross and 118.3%...
