Lancaster Absolute Return Fund (Ex-Odey) On Their Top Longs And Short Positions [Exclusive]

The Absolute Return Fund was until June 2023 part of the Odey Asset Management. After the fallout of the fund due to the misconduct allegations, it was rehoused with the London-based fund Lancaster Investment Management. Lancaster was founded in 2007 and is currently run by Matthew Wood, James Roycroft, and Richard Lamplough.

The Absolute Return Fund’s strategy is based on global equity with long and short positions. The managers follow three core principles when investing:

  • Choosing fundamentally good companies
  • High discipline in short-selling
  • Diversification and carefully calculated position sizing
