L1 Capital Global Opportunities Fund Extends Winning Streak as Copper Volatility Fuels 26.4% CAGR Since Inception

The L1 Capital Global Opportunities Fund returned 3.2% during the June 2026 quarter, taking its 12-month return to 13.2%. Since its inception in 2015, the strategy has generated a net annualized return of 26.4%, according to a letter to investors reviewed by Hedge Fund Alpha. Portfolio manager David Feldman, noted that the hedge fund which is closed to investors, delivered the positive results despite a quarter characterized by elevated geopolitical uncertainty, persistent market volatility, and changing expectations for interest rates.

Quarter at a Glance

Markets remained volatile throughout the June quarter as investors weighed ongoing geopolitical tensions against a shifting outlook for monetary policy. Despite these conditions, the Australian based  firm viewed the fund’s quarterly performance favorably, with its resources exposure once again serving as the portfolio’s strongest contributor.

The fund generated a 3.2% return during Q2 2026, which the PM considered a favorable outcome given the choppy market environment.
