John Armitage’s Egerton Capital Buys Capital One, Eli Lilly, Intercontinental Exchange

The Shroder GAIA Egerton Equity Fund returned -2.1% for December, bringing its full-year return for 2024 to 20.4%. The fund’s benchmarks returned -1.9% and 0.3% for the month and 21% and 4.6%, respectively, for the full year. Benchmark one is the MSCI World NR LCL, while the second benchmark is the Euro Short-Term Rate + 1%.

The GAIA Egerton Equity Fund has $551.1 million in assets under management, while Egerton Capital has about $15 billion under management, with two-thirds being long only and the other third short. The GAIA fund targets positive returns after fees over a three-year period by investing in global equities, including emerging markets.
