US equities rallied strongly in April, with the S&P 500 gaining 10.47% as technology stocks regained market leadership. Against this backdrop, the Candriam Sustainable Equity US fund posted a 10.01% gain during the month. Year-to-date, the fund remains positive with a 3.21% gain. Technology Leadership Drives the Market Higher

April was dominated by a renewed surge in large-cap technology and semiconductor stocks. The earlier broadening market rally faded. The ‘Magnificent Seven’ climbed 15.6%, supported by strong earnings and AI optimism. Semiconductor companies led the advance, rising 43.6% during the month. Cyclical and retail sectors also made a turnaround. These resilient economic conditions supported the fund’s growth-oriented holdings.
