Big Changes at Tiger Global’s PE Business as Key Manager Takes a New Role [Exclusive]

In a letter that might've fallen under the rug during the week of Thanksgiving, Tiger Global announced that Scott Shleifer is transitioning his role at the firm to senior advisor, effective at the New Year. In his new role, he will advise on the firm's investing activities across the breadth of its funds.

The move is particularly critical for Tiger Global's private-equity business, given Shleifer's key role in launching it by identifying undervalued private internet companies in China in 2003.
