Hawk Ridge Management's flagship fund generated a net return of 2.8% in the third quarter of 2020, compared to a return of 4.9% for its benchmark, the Russell 2000.
Following this performance, for the year to the end of September, the fund returned 5.8% net of fees, outperforming its benchmark by 14.5%.
Since its inception in 2008, Hawk Ridge has only lost money in one year. In 2008, the fund produced a net return for investors of -16.6%, although this was still an outperformance of 50.4% compared to the benchmark.
