David Einhorn Is Killing It This Year As Most Other Hedge Funds Struggle [Full letter]

David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital was up 8.4% for the second quarter, bringing its year-to-date return to 13.2% for the first half of the year. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 tumbled 16.1% in the second quarter and 20% for the first half.

Einhorn reported that their second-quarter performance versus the S&P was the fund's best relative performance ever. Despite that stellar return, he does not believe value investing is back.
