Warren Buffett Interview From BRK Annual Meeting 2026

At the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska, Warren Buffett sat down with CNBC’s Becky Quick for an interview broadcast on the main screen in the Omaha venue during the lunch break. Buffett, 95, stepped down as CEO at the end of 2025 after six decades running the company, and at last year’s meeting he surprised shareholders by announcing he would hand the role to Greg Abel. His message was consistent with what he has said recently: prices are too high, the environment for deploying capital is poor, and the best opportunities arrive rarely and at moments of maximum discomfort.

Sunday Events

Let’s Get Together in Omaha!

Vitaliy Katsenelson’s annual Omaha get-together is on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District.

Agenda:

  • 8:45 AM – Breakfast
  • 9:30 – 11:00 AM – Q&A with Vitaliy
  • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Meet and greet + book signing

Vitaliy has been doing this since 2008. The first one was fewer than a dozen people in a hotel lobby at his first Berkshire meeting. Last year it had grown enough that he ran three separate sessions to fit everyone, which is why he booked a bigger room this time. He’s said straight out that it isn’t a marketing event in disguise. He just wants to sit down with readers, eat breakfast, and answer whatever they want to ask.
