Now in its 30th year, The annual New York Sohn Conference features many of the best and brightest hedge fund and alternative investors to share their favorite stock ideas, while raising funds in support of pediatric cancer and other research. 1:01 PM | Idea From: Seth Fischer, Oasis Capital. Seth is a Japan focused activist investor. He likes one Japanese company which he sees as having much potential but needs new management to work on capital allocation and other corporate governance reforms.

The panel consisted of four stock pitches with two US based, and two foreign firms. Some compelling ideas were discussed.
1:45 PM | Idea from: Jonathan Lennon, Founder and CIO of PLP Funds. The firm has a PE, L/S fund and incubation firm. Doesn't normally speak but his mother was a cancer survivor. Lennon likes this eye-care company.

1:55 PM | Idea from: Larry Robbins of Glenview Capital. He pitches two ideas one a pharma company trading at 6x earnings despite 5% CAGR with a new CEO. Growing in generics business, which is now going to be a hot wave. The second idea is a payments company which is viewed as trouble but he believes will have less risks in a major merger the company is involved in.

2:05 PM | Fireside Discussion
- Aravind Srinivas and Sebastian Mallaby. Aravind is the founder of Perplexity a very hot AI based search tool which has earned a multi-billion valuation. Mallaby is a famous journalist and economist.
- Srinivas talks about projects currently being built and is also working on a new browser. Srinivas says the Browser is the real battle, not search.

2025 Sohn New York Conference Celebrates its 30th Anniversary
Idea from: David Einhorn, Greenlight Capital likes a German company he originally purchased 2005. Einhorn notes it was the second most profitable investment ever by Greenlight. He likes the stock again these days.

Mohammed of Advent Global Opportunities expects this private credit stock (with no balance sheet risk) to double in next three years. Dan Dreyfus, Founder and CIO of Bornite Capital likes this company which helps with nuclear safety. Packard notes a compounder which is not TDG or well known and has catalysts which can boost it further.

- Rob Citrone and Karen Karniol-Tambour, Bridgewater Associates discussed macro. Rob says Israel cannot allow Iran to go nuclear so there is a good chance oil goes up big time and that the risk reward is massive at least in the short term. Karen disagrees and recommends other investments.
