Charlie Munger has attributed a considerable part of his success to his multidisciplinary education.

From the very beginning, he was always interested in acquiring multidisciplinary knowledge or knowledge associated with more than one existing academic discipline or profession.

"I couldn't stand reaching for a small idea in my own discipline when there was a big idea right over the fence in somebody else's discipline," Munger explained to students as part of a lecture at the University of California Economics Department in October 2003.
