Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is one of many high-profile people involved in charitable giving, and his family has a foundation set up to dole out their cash. In fact, Bezos’ mother and stepfather co-founded the Bezos Family Foundation and gave tens of millions of dollars to it in 2023 — all in Amazon stock.
According to the 990PF for 2023, which was filed in November 2024, the Bezos Family Foundation had $168.1 million in assets at the end of the year. While the foundation owned quite a lot of shares of Amazon, that wasn’t the only investment in 2023.
