Many of the world’s best-known investors are also well-known philanthropists, including all four founders of Apollo Global. Leon Black, Marc Rowan, Josh Harris and Antony Ressler all co-founded the firm in 1990, and all four have their own foundations, which they use to dole out their billions. They also invest their foundations’ money, mostly in Apollo Global and other firms where they are insiders.
