Carl Icahn Boosts Cheniere Energy Stake To 11.43%

Carl Icahn has enhanced his stake in Cheniere Energy to 11.43% from the 9.59% he disclosed two weeks ago, according to a regulatory filing on Monday.

In an amended 13D filing on the Houston energy company, the billionaire investor disclosed 27,042,928 shares in the company, up from 22,682,159 shares previously held.

Icahn disclosed 9.59% stake in Cheniere Energy two weeks ago. As of September 14, Icahn was the biggest investor in the energy company.

Mirroring Monday’s announcement, Cheniere shares gained 1.64% in after-hours trading, after closing the day’s regular trading session at $47.47, down $1.08 or 2.12%.
