Recent Correction In Chinese Banks Overdone: Citi

The recent major decline in the stock market has pulled Chinese bank valuations down to the historical P/B trough, and therefore analysts at Citi believe the recent correction is overdone.

Simon Ho and Christina Yu of Citi in their August 26, 2015 research report on “Chinese Banks” note the bigger threats on NIM for banks will be deposit competition and the likely upward creep in deposit pricing.
