U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), “disappointed” at the lack of high-level enforcement actions at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is taking aim at SEC Chair Mary Jo White in a 13-page letter today. White, for her part, is firing back in what looks like unusual frankness inside the clubby political world of Washington D.C., promising to hit a key deadline but not addressing certain concerns regarding criminal leniency.
