Microsoft Unveils Surface, The Company's New Tablet

The media and entire tech world was waiting today for a big announcement by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). Intial rumors last week speculated that Microsoft might be launching a new tablet to compete with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)'s popular iPad. Although Microsoft dominates the PC industry, it has little presence in the rapidly growing tablet and smartphone market. Apple Inc.'s iPad and Google's android currently dominate the tablet market.
