Irving Kahn the world renowned value investor and assistant of Benjamin Graham, whose longevity enabled him to profit from the market crash in 1929, has died. He was 109.
Irving Kahn’s death was announced today in the New York Times and first reported by Larry Arnold of Bloomberg News.
Irving Kahn’s career
Irving Kahn was co-founder and chairman of Kahn Brothers Group Inc., a broker-dealer and investment adviser with about $1 billion under management. Up until age 108 he still commuted three times a week to the firm’s Madison Avenue office.
