Markets are reacting “reflexively to QE-related data points and commentary from the ECB,” noted New York-based long / short fund manager Three Bridges Capital, and ex Omega Advisors partner,  Gene Salamon in a recent investment letter reviewed by ValueWalk.

Economic data being “generally positive if somewhat muted” is generally good for a European focused relative value equity fund that is decidedly long in his spread position balancing. Long exposure is nearly twice as large as the more difficult to manage short exposure.
