Michigan BASE jumper’s parachute fails to open Detroit resident Josh Sheppard, 31, had attempted to base jump 1,000 feet to the bottom of the WLAJ-TV tower in Jackson County, MI, an area just west of the city at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, Michigan State Police Sergeant Kevin Caldwell was quoted as saying.
