Hedge Fund Compensation Rises By 12% In 2014, Those At Top Benefit Most

Income inequality in hedge fund land is alive and well. Hedge fund compensation overall rose by 12 percent in 2014, the annual 2015 Hedge Fund Compensation Report revealed, but within that significant outperformance of the general economy there were pockets of resistance. Hedge fund compensation increased while average hours worked decreased The average cash compensation for hedge fund professionals in 2014 was $368,000 per year, up from $330,000 last year. Compensation increased while average hours worked decreased, with nearly 80 percent of fund managers working an average of 40 to 60 hours per week, down ten hours from last year….
