Market observers who want to keep track of the activist investor game now have a handy scorecard that tracks their success and failure in an entertaining and informative fashion.

Most popular activist-targeted corporations

The activist investor scorecard, published by New York Times Dealbook, considers twelve of the most popular target corporations and then overlays the current results on a game board-like graphic.  The game board tracks return on investment for each major activist investor on the Y axis and considers if they are achieving their stated goals or if their campaign is an “utter failure,” tracked on the X axis.

Looking at the graphics, individual success and failure can be more easily spotted. For instance, an "utter failure"...
