Fund of fund hedge fund manager Adam Blitz isn’t likely surprised at the surge of hedge fund closures in 2014. In a Bloomberg Briefs interview, Blitz outlined his core investment thesis based on the lack of talent in the hedge fund community and noted with interest arbitrage and relative value strategies, many of them discussed in the book Flash Boys by Michael Lewis.
“Our thesis is we do not think that there are a lot of great hedge funds out there,” he said. What are the appropriate number of funds?
