A social media application that promises users anonymity and boasts it is the “the safest place on the internet,” might not be as “safe” as users think.

A new Guardian report says the company behind Whisper tracks user movements even after their user’s opt out of geographic tracking.  Such tracking is now specifically allowed based on a recent revision in its privacy policy, a separate report noted.
