As Goldman Sachs issues a report predicting the economy and the stock market trend will continue higher, mutual fund manager and economic critic John Hussman has a problem with what he considers the “Ponzi Economy.”

Hussman observes that since the late 1990s a fundamental economic shift has occurred, impacting the US standard of living. This shift, as seen in a buckling in labor force participation, which is at a 15 year real low, has been obfuscated by an economy that appears on the surface quite stable.
