Even after a 2.2% gain in August, Three Bridges Capital is sitting on a loss of 6.3% for the year. The equity long/short fund was founded by Gene Salamon and is the rebranded version of Indus Capital Partners' European fund. Salamon has previously worked at Leon Cooperman's Omega Advisors where he was in charge of the European equity portfolio. 3BC operates out of New York and manages $583 million.

According to a monthly investor update seen by ValueWalk, the fund's top five long positions are in BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNP) (OTCMKTS:BNPQY), Bayer AG (FRA:BAYN) (OTCMKTS:BAYRY), Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) (LON:VOD), Daimler AG (FRA:DAI) OTCMKTS:DDAIF) and Allianz SE (FRA:ALV) (OTCMKTS:AZSEY).
