George Soros Sells Gold, John Paulson Also Offloads Chunk

Bill Ackman's latest arch nemesis, George Soros, filed his 13F a while ago. Fresh positions from Soros Fund Management include 19.9 million shares of J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) and 500k call options, making J.C. Penney the fourth largest holding in his public portfolio. Soros also reported 5 million shares of Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF), so speculation that Soros bought Herbalife over July seems to be false since as of June 30, his fund already had a position in the nutrition supplements company.
