Daniel Och is a founder of Och-Ziff Capital Management (now Sculptor Capital Management), one of the few hedge funds that went IPO before the GFC. In 2019 the company changed its ownership and name to Sculptor Capital Management. Och left the company and continued his investing career in the single-family office Willoughby Capital.

Besides his investing career, he and his wife, Jane, founded the Jane and Daniel Och Family Foundation in 2008, which provides grants to support education, community, and healthcare initiatives.

In the latest 990 filing for the year 2023, the foundation reported $29 million in expenses, negative net income of $20 million, and total net assets of $523 million. The revenue of the...
