Sohn London: Why Tech Looks Overinvested – and Why It Needs More Energy Investments

The 2023 Sohn London conference is in the books, and it brought several great ideas from some very accomplished fund managers. Karim Moussalem of Selwood Asset Management, formerly of Goldman Sachs, presented his thesis for Glencore.

His idea stems from the green-energy transition and issues around energy security, which he believes could be the biggest challenge we will face over the next five to 10 years. Moussalem also thinks there's been significant misunderstanding at COP20 in Dubai this year, highlighting a number of pressures from the ESG (environmental, social, governance) community.
