After A Challenging 2022, Corsair Capital Is Optimistic About The New Year [Exclusive]

Corsair Capital returned 4.6% net for the fourth quarter, bringing its 2022 return to -15.8% net. Corsair Select was up 6% net for the fourth quarter, capping its full-year return at -30.8% net. Since its inception in January 1991, Corsair Capital has generated a compounded net annual return of 11%, while Corsair Select has generated a compounded net annual return of 8.8% since its inception in January 2004.

The HFRI – EHI index returned 4% for the fourth quarter, bringing its full-year return to -10.4%. The S&P 500 was up 7.6% for the fourth quarter and down 18.1% for 2022, while the Russell 2000 gained 6.2% in the fourth quarter and declined 20.4% for 2022. The S&P recorded an annualized return...
